Call For Abstracts: Data-Driven Water Management

By Amber Jenkins

NASA’s Western Water Applications Office is hosting a session at the 2021 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting this December. Part of the conference’s Science to Action track, our session is on the topic of Enabling Water Resource Management Decisions Driven by Science and Data.

Data can inform – indeed, transform – decision making. Water managers not only need more data, they also need the right data with the resolution, latency and format to easily plug into their decision pipelines. Our AGU session explores data-driven water management using satellite Earth observations. Speakers will share successes, challenges and lessons learned. We welcome presentations focused on solutions that address climate change or the needs of underserved populations.

This year’s AGU Fall Meeting follows a hybrid format, with in-person attendance planned in New Orleans and virtual attendance online. The deadline to submit abstracts is 4 August 2021 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the abstract portal to submit an abstract.
